Hedgehog: Maisy & Daisy

These two little hogs didn't have the best start to life. Someones dog managed to find them and sadly they lost a sibling due to the

confrontation with the dog. These babies have grown and are in great shape and will remain with us now through the winter and be released in the spring.

Breakfast time in the rescue comes after the animals are all cleaned and bedding replaced, some leave eating until we have closed the door and left them in peace and quiet, others will jump in the food almost straight away and as you can see these 2 are one of the latter!

These guys were released back into the area that they came from. We weren't sure whether to do this or not because of the dog situation but the owner assured us she had no idea there were hedgehogs in the garden and that when she lets the dog out at night she will pop him on a lead.

Perfect ending.
