Pigeon: Pearl

We aren't quite sure what happened to this poor fledgling Pigeon before he came into us. We do know that he has had a severe head trauma -

whether that was caused by a traffic incident, flying into something or falling from a height.

It has resulted in her beak becoming incredibly wonky and - unfortunately - she has some irreversible neurological damage. It has resulted in her being unable to walk or eat properly and she has involuntary spasms almost constantly.

OUTCOME:

We had to make the decision to let Pearl go because she would have never been able to have a good quality of life. We did not want her to suffer any longer as we just didn't know how much pain she was in. A sad end to the week here in the rescue :(
